My philosophy and approach to faces is different than many plastic surgeons. I believe in making noticeable changes in the face that do not appear to others as though the patient has had a treatment. To me, I call this “surgery without an operated look”, however, that extends beyond surgery to topical skin treatments such as peeling or lasering, injectable treatments such as botulinum toxin (Botulinum Toxin) or injectable fillers. The want to have a more or less invasive procedure can be determined by the patient but the goal of treatment for me has to be that the end result does not have a “treated or operated” look. This is true with face lifts, lip lifts, rhinoplasties, eyelid procedures or brow lifts. Patients want their face to look rejuvenated and structurally the best but they don’t want to enter a restaurant where people stare at them and wonder what did they have done. My patients just want to look more attractive that does not require them to have an operated appearance.

In line with this philosophy, I feel that a careful consultation and evaluation of the patient is paramount. After this, I try to give my advice to the patient as to what the best procedure(s) are to perform to achieve the goal intended. For rhinoplasty surgery, this is making a nose which fits the other facial features. For facial rejuvenation surgery, it may be a combination of surgeries that make the face look refreshed and natural. Balance is key. Harmony between facial features is the thing that creates beauty – it is not too small a nose or overdone lips. I look forward to having you in my office to commonly achieve these goals.
